Played Dead Island 2 for a few hours yesterday.

I won't spoil here, but I can only say this much.

There are a few bugs but I think that will be patched.

Graphics are excellent and detailed.

About the gameplay itself?

Well, there is a story, but everything is somehow the same as in the predecessor - or so it seems to me.

You level up, you can buy weapons - quite a few even.

Each character has its strengths and weaknesses, etc. again...

You fight your way through thousands of zombies and after a certain time everything repeats itself.

Pair of weird and new zombies are added.

The locations also very detailed but unfortunately no open-world, good for players: inside who do not like to get lost.

Sometimes you can't open doors, but have to take a detour - the developers have missed the boat.

I miss a bit of tension buildup and a decent story, but I knew that beforehand, that there is no such thing, like in Days Gone.

It's pure carnage.

You can own it but you don't have to !

Challenges are almost none, because you are always supplied with weapons and the gameplay is simple.

In contrast to the predecessor, there are also night scenes, which again provide a bit of atmosphere.

For such a repeatedly postponed release or production time, I had hoped for more.

I'm not through yet but after 3 hours of intense slaughter, I had to turn off.

In my top 5 it will not come - because somehow all already seen and played.
