What did YT answer at all? possibly an excerpt of the mail. There must be an appropriate justification. Adsense was once blocked for casino stuff, but not YT per se. Only if you monetized the vids with Adsense (that is marketed with ads via Adsense - who does not know what Adsense is, please GOOGLE yourself!)

Yes, it could be that spam messages are not taken so seriously by Google but the Hatespeech shit on the other hand already. So the Hater just reported everything as Hatespeech and then Youtube found out during the review that it is gambling content. That makes sense!
