I tried that once and turned on the dark mode and Tara it does nothing is still everything as before, in the settings it says I have activated the dark mode.

You could also make a setting where the glaring white can be darkened in 5 steps. I don't like the dark mode either, as it is currently offered in the test version. Level 5 can then be the darkest and look like the dark mode is now, for those who like it so.
