I was in Vegas on October 1, 2017, watching MInd Freak at the Luxor, it was actually our last night. We stayed at the MGM Grand that day or for the night and wanted to go back there after the show.
Anyone who knows their way around there knows the route actually works. It's basically just across the street. We, meaning 2 buddies and I had a discussion whether to take an Uber or walk. (The route drags there anyway because the hotels are just gigantic and we had to change the road, which only goes by bridge.
Well. We then went on foot, along the country concert, on the outside quasi. we were relatively at the end of the concert area as we then thought - Oh - fireworks
Well... You know. Then pretty much all hell broke loose on us, purely in terms of people who would have run over everything and everyone if necessary. Thank God we made it to the MGM before the military shutdown
The flight from Eurowings back to Cologne was canceled, we had to spend an extra night in the Paris Hotel. Still really in shock, I played Roulette with $200, worked my way up to 600, then took 500 and bet the last 100 divided into 2x50 on the 0 and 7. The 7 came, 1800 win
I would not have had so seen without the forced extra night.
