In Bamberg, Bavaria, a customer went on the rampage in a snack bar. He had previously lost money on a slot machine in the pub. The man was eventually arrested by the police and taken to a clinic due to his mental state. On the same evening, a gambling hall was robbed in nearby Würzburg. The police were also able to arrest the perpetrator in this case.

It is perfectly normal for a gambling win or loss to evoke emotions. However, a 28-year-old man was apparently unable to cope with his losses on a slot machine in Bamberg, Germany. Instead of simply going home after losing his money, the gambler attacked the owner of the pub and injured him. The situation only calmed down when the police arrived.

Player injures landlord and damages cars

The 28-year-old first walked into a snack bar in Bamberg, Bavaria, and sat down in front of a slot machine. But luck was not on the young man's side that day - he lost his money. Enraged, the gambler allegedly attacked the snack bar owner. The owner was slightly injured in the attack.

The man then allegedly stormed out of the snack bar and kicked off the wing mirror of a parked car. Meanwhile, the snack bar owner called the police, who arrested the suspect a short time later. However, by the time the police arrived, the man had probably damaged at least one other car.

Slot machine player placed in psychiatric hospital

After police officers identified and arrested the aggressive slot machine player, he was taken to a nearby clinic for mental health treatment. It remains unclear how the man was able to lose his money on the machine in such an extraordinary mental state.

Bamberg police estimate the loss to be at least €1,100. The incident took place on the evening of 12 December at around 20:30. Over a year ago, we at GambleJoe reported on an incident in a London casino where a security guard watched as a casino patron went on a rampage.

Amusement arcade in Würzburg robbed on the same evening - perpetrators arrested

Also last Tuesday evening, at around 10.30pm, an arcade was robbed in Würzburg, about 100 kilometres away. In this case, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded that the staff hand over the money. In the end, however, the perpetrator grabbed the loot himself and tried to flee from the Benzstrasse arcade.

However, a brave customer of the arcade stood in the suspect's way and tried to prevent his escape. As a result, he was superficially wounded by the robber's knife. The robber then fled the scene on an electric scooter. A short time later, the police were able to catch up with the suspect on a bus and arrest him. The 24-year-old was apparently under the influence of drugs and is now in custody following a court order.
