Hello people,

first and foremost I would like to find other players who have experience with getting money back via credit card reclamation.

I will first explain the situation and the current status.

During the year I deposited more than 25.000 € at different Online Casinos - among them BWIN, Tipico, Bet365, Unibet, betathome.

At one of these casinos (name I do not want to give out) I lost shortly after registration - a little more than 5500€ - this money I got back after a credit card complaint, but under the reason that my debit card was misused.
The whole process took about 2 weeks

However, I had not sunk low enough to take the money to stop. No I gambled away the money and much more.

So well the topic should be ticked off with.

Currently I have filled out about 90 credit card complaints and have submitted 4 of them for testing, this was last week.
Last night I look in my banking app from N26 and lo and behold there are 780€ (300,200,180,100) in my account, Noted as credits from the online casino.
I immediately transferred the money to another account.

Of course, I eagerly submitted another 33 credit card complaints in the amount of about 8200€

When I then looked again at 03:00 at night in the banking app, the account of N26 was 780€ in the negative.
This morning I contacted the customer service, they said they will get back to me by EMAIL.

From experience I know but that it can not possibly have come so quickly to a decision, regarding the first 4 complaints. My first thought was that the bank may have had concerns about gambling, since it is already often criticized. (They know exactly that I have paid to online casinos, because each payment is noted with "#gluecksspiele".

The chargeback request is still running, because the bank must forward the so the so to Mastercard. In the worst case everything is rejected, in the slightly better case I get everything back and am sued by the casino / or the money is claimed.

My account is now balanced again. But if the 8200€ from the chargeback of the 33 other applications also appear on the account in the short term, I will first transfer them somewhere else and possibly wait for the legal action. Exactly from this point it becomes tricky for me. Does anyone have experience with this?

Can it come to a criminal complaint?

Please no moral apostles, that one is responsible blablabla. I will submit more applications today and try first to get the money back.

I am aware that I can no longer play, because I Deposit the money again, it is clearly a case of fraud, or make me knowingly the illegal gambling punishable.

My other account I have with Revolut which has recently pointed out to me that if I arrange further payment to casinos they will close my account because gambling is not allowed according to their terms and conditions.

I would be interested in your opinion how do you rate the whole thing. Especially that now first the money was credited and after 4 hours was gone again.

Many greetings

if the bank contacts the casinos and does a name match, your abuse argument is no longer valid and the bank will probably take legal action against you, because it is fraud.
The only thing that can save you is the DSVGO. That the bank gets virtually no information about the player name from the casino.

Thank you for your reply,

Abuse argument, was only used once.

The current complaints are "Invalidity of the claim due to unauthorized gambling"

with the reason the bank would have the damage in any case and they would probably terminate your account.
By the way, I tried something similar with ING. They sent me a two-page letter with dozens of paragraphs listed in it, with the result that a complaint about illegal gambling is not possible. If I had objected to this, I would have had to sue.
So it could well be that N26 will argue similarly, better not rejoice too soon that this works.

Since there is already a similar thread regarding chargeback, I will close this one. Please continue your conversation in the already existing thread

Here you can go to the thread

Thanks
