Deposit and withdrawal methods: Sparkasse - Prepaid credit card

Hello dear forum members,

I have a question and I'm not sure if it fits here.

I have recently opened a bank account with Sparkasse and have a prepaid credit card.

I have to admit that I wasn't particularly aware of the costs of this credit card etc. and so I was surprised after the statement.

It was an amount of 30 euros, whereupon I immediately canceled this card.

This termination was promptly received and processed on the same day and the termination was confirmed.

Yesterday I received a refund of 27.50 euros, as I hadn't used it for long and hadn't used it at all.

Now the Sparkasse has transferred this 27.50 euros to this prepaid credit card (I had already wondered beforehand whether a payout can and will work at all, given that it has been canceled).

However, it is still listed on the homepage in addition to the normal bank account.

In any case, I went straight to the Sparkasse ATM yesterday, entered the amount to be withdrawn and the PIN.
The card was then withdrawn.

Now my question is, what is the Sparkasse thinking?
If they kindly refund me the unused amount, what happens to it if I can't get to it.

I would be very happy to receive similar experience reports or answers.

Kind regards,
Tomeklies

Well, the 30 euros is the annual fee for this card so 2.50 euros per month then you can also easily Deposit money there which is usually on it the next day I had used this card abroad to pay and also withdraw money actually worked very well you can't really complain

Thank you for your feedback!

The 27.50 euros for the annual fee have already been refunded to me, but to this prepaid credit card, which has already been canceled and the card was withheld when I tried to withdraw the money.

Now I don't know what to do with the 27.50 euros on it.

Simply go to the bank in person and clarify the matter directly.
There are still enough branches.

i just don't understand why the Sparkasse offers something like this because the new Sparkasse cards are money & credit cards at the same time?! my card expired at the end of the year & my new one automatically had the KK number and the security number on the back..I think in your case it will sort itself out quickly

Actually, there is an option in the account to empty the card and then it will be credited to your account, but I personally don't think the fees are excessively high as there are expensive cards on such a basis

would also clarify this in person, do you have/had no bank advisor who was responsible for you, that's how it is with us
