Hello dear community,

i am still quite inexperienced with crypto and Co. and thought I make it easy for myself, with an account at Coinbase + Wallet.

Well, either I'm doing something wrong or Coinbase has just so changed my wallet address after receiving money.

To make a long story short, I clicked on "Receive" in the wallet, then selected the respective assets and in the field: "Your address", copied my code and forwarded it to the Provider, so that he can perform the transaction to me.

Everything was processed quickly and I was able to see the balance in my wallet for a few minutes, but after logging into my account again, it suddenly disappeared.

Only under the transactions I can see it marked as successful -> received yet.

The I now again the same steps as before, I suddenly have a whole new wallet address and my address and since then I am also under my credit, the previously received amount, no longer displayed.

In short, I suddenly have a new wallet address and my credit is suddenly gone, what me just beastly anpi...t.

Does anyone know the problem or can tell me what to do?

Never had problems with Coinbase when receiving money, but the own wallet address does not change just like that....?

Mysterious, what does their support say about it? I know zero about it but it sounds either if someone has made mischief or just a software error from coinbase

Thanks for the feedback, I did by mail with sceenshot. Den in the transaction history you can also see the wallet ID on which account it was received and this is currently no longer the same as before. Thought would be a bug, but even if I currently log in, is still a different wallet address displayed.

There are also BTC addresses (Legacy Segwit) that always change after a transaction. However, if you have your balance in the wallet of Coinbase, have you tried to restore it using the 12 words in another wallet?

With Coinbase, however, they usually do not change I have the same receiving address for years

Addresses in a wallet do not change, of course, unless you have logged in with a new user. I use several wallets, the addresses always remain the same. You have your 12 words, uninstall the app and set it up again.

Reinstalled and Restored, transaction to my account is displayed but can't locate any balance. Also I just checked again the address for Litecoin, is another as originally, so is the same this is displayed to me since the change.

I mean could see yes my balance for a moment and suddenly was another address for my Litecoin wallet in it and this also remains at once, but my balance is effectively gone, let's see what the support says, otherwise adieu Coinbase.

As I said there are also legacy and SegWit addresses where the addresses change every time! But without knowing it exactly I suspect that it is not with Coinbase, or it is a normal address.

Thread can be closed, was a system error from Coinbase, this has now been fixed accordingly. How exactly it could happen, of course they would not tell me. Nevertheless, thanks for all the feedback
