In order to be able to make an authentic assessment of the sports betting offer, it is of course necessary to register first. This was very easy at tipwin and was completed in just a few clicks. The usual masks had to be filled in, plus a monthly limit had to be set according to the new German regulations. I was surprised to find that my employer was also asked, although this was an optional answer. In a bookmaker comparison this is definitely a big advantage, because I do not have to search long to be able to place my bets.

The live betting offer is similarly structured. These can be easily accessed from the homepage by clicking on Live bets in the header. Here I get a similar table with all bets that are currently live and playable for me. I get an immediate overview of the markets and the corresponding odds, so I can make a quick decision and see what is important: I can also combine several bets to create a multiple bet. Fans of statistics will also get their money's worth here, because with a click on the statistics icon you get a huge amount of information on every game. Tipwin even comes to your aid and highlights the most important statistics with a small info icon. But as we all know: Statistics are not always the decisive factor in sports betting.

At this point, I must mention another plus point for the tipwin app. There is a free app for Android and iOS that makes mobile betting a lot easier. On my iPhone, the app ran very smoothly and was very easy to use, just like the website.

I placed my first bets via the main menu to be able to get a small overview. I then took a closer look at the sports betting options and went through the different markets. The biggest market is of course football, with 635 markets available on the day of my test. Bets could be placed on everything from the Bundesliga to the second division in Ecuador. There was something for everyone, and if you wanted to, you could watch football 24 hours a day thanks to the different time zones. In summary, the sports betting offering can be summarised as follows: All the important stuff is there, both at the top and in terms of sports. In terms of betting markets, however, tipwin still has some catching up to do, as 60 bets on a Bundesliga match is not much in comparison. But this can also have its advantages, as you do not have to search long to find your favourite bet. Most people interested in sports betting do not need more than that.

The tipwin welcome bonus is nothing special in the area of sports betting in Germany. There is a classic welcome bonus where the first deposit is doubled. I have deposited €20 and then received a sports betting bonus of €20. This match up to an amount of €100. The money will be credited to your account automatically, and you do not need to do anything. It is important to note that the sportsbook welcome bonus is only available to new customers, hence the name.

I ended up with €40 in my account, and the advantage is that I can use it for both live and pre-match betting. The German Gambling Law - more than controversial

With the amendment of the Gaming State Treaty, a lot has changed for both players and providers. Among others, the following points are affected:

• OASIS file: The introduction of the OASIS file is one of the most controversial changes brought about by the new State Treaty. All player data will be passed on to OASIS and their playing behaviour will be documented down to the last detail. Especially for urgent problems, a contact form is not enough. In this category, too, I have to take away some points. On a positive note, the 'Help' page is structured like an FAQ. All important questions about sports betting, deposits & withdrawals and account registration are answered there. I only found an email address (customer-support@tipwin.com) via a roundabout way.

What tipwin loses in the area of support, they definitely make up for here with the payment options. Betting with PayPal becomes more and more popular, and so it has pleased me that this payment method is to be found at tipwin. PayPal has very strict requirements to their partners, and so it is definitely a good sign to find them here. Other payment options are:
