NEO.bet has not taken long to gain a good reputation in the scene, and I have thoroughly tested whether they live up to this reputation. I will now take you step by step through this test.

"From professionals for professionals" is the greeting on the site and you can tell from the design of the site that they are professionals in their field. I myself have used NEO.bet several times as a bookmaker and have always had good experiences. For this review, however, I am starting from scratch and trying to give a neutral assessment of every aspect. NEO.bet has been around since 2019 and has been in possession of a German gaming licence since December 2022.

The website features the brand ambassador Laura Wontorra. She has become a fixture on German sports TV and is also known from shows such as "Grill den Henssler" and "Ninja Warrior". Her surname is of course familiar to football fans, as she is the daughter of Jörg Wontorra. A little anecdote on the side: He, like me, is from the Hanseatic city of Bremen and I have met him several times in the local Werder pubs. But now I am rambling, after all we want to deal with the bookmaker comparison and NEO.bet. Apart from Laura Wontorra, NEO.bet is also a sponsor of Hoffenheim and Darmstadt, which lends a certain seriousness to the whole thing.

I asked my flatmate to register on the site, so I could see how it worked - I was already registered. This was a good idea, as my flatmate has no interest in sports betting at all, and I was able to see for myself how easy it is to register. It only took a few clicks and the usual error fields to complete the registration. As usual, you then have to verify your email address and set a monthly limit. Throughout the process, I was struck by how clear the site is, something my roommate confirmed. This overall impression will run through the entire review, to put it bluntly. Here you can see that the site has been designed by professionals and not by some kind of kit. The layout is clear and not overloaded with information. At the same time, it does not take long to get to the desired menu items.

I may have anticipated some of this in the introduction, but the usability gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. I am not really a fan of the colour black, but with NEO.bet it does not bother me, as the site is not too dark. I logged into my old account and made a deposit using VISA. The window then shows me whether I have any bonuses that I can use for my deposit.

Independent of the bets, I also received all information quickly when I was looking for it. First of all, it has to be said that bookmakers with a German license are naturally limited in what they can offer and the days of betting on yellow cards or coin tosses are sadly over. Nevertheless, there are differences in the breadth and depth of the sports betting offer and that is why I took a closer look at NEO.bet's portfolio. At first glance, the sports covered by NEO.bet are the same as those offered by the other bookmakers, but what is much more important is the individual betting odds per match.

In the Bundesliga there are up to 100 bets per game, so there should be something for everyone. I would say that this is in the middle of the pack. I was surprised to see that there are up to 150 bets on NBA basketball, including the popular player bets. Other popular sports are no slouches either, with up to 50 bets available on handball and baseball, for example. This is a big plus that other bookmakers can still catch up on.

At the risk of repeating myself here, I also like the overview of the sports bets. For example, I get a little form curve next to each game, which is even highlighted in green and red. For example, I quickly noticed that TSV GWD Minden had failed to win five games in a row. No wonder that the odds were 4.5 for Minden to win. But the statistics do not overwhelm you with unimportant curves or diagrams, but only the most important ones. NEO.bet has done a good job of attracting visitors to the site and making the site suitable for both experienced bettors and newcomers. Live betting works in much the same way as pre-match betting. Simply click on "Live" at the top left, and you will be presented with an identical overview page. Here, too, there are statistics for each sport and a live score on the left-hand side. This way I can get a quick overview and quickly place my live bet.

I would like to briefly summarize my thoughts on the sports betting offer. With 100 bets per game, there is still some catching up to be done in football, but everyone can find their favorite bet. The wide range of bets on 'smaller' sports such as handball, ice hockey or basketball is also worth mentioning. There is something for everyone here.

The word "professionals" also applies to NEO.bet's bonus offer, as the welcome bonus is divided into a beginner's and a pro's bonus. This differs in the percentage and the amount of the bonus granted: the pro receives 100% up to €100, the beginner 200% up to €50. You will also receive regular email notifications when you are eligible for further bonus offers. At the time of testing, I had a 100% bonus on my account. At the same time, your bets earn you bonus chips, which you can later exchange for real money. For 2500 bonus chips, for example, you get a free €10. Here you can also see that NEO.bet thinks about their regular customers and tries to keep them happy. I see this points system as a small challenge and am currently on the best way to collect 2500 points, so keep your fingers crossed.

NEO.bet also has a very attractive welcome bonus, bonus promotions for regular customers and even an advertising bonus. For this I can only give 5 out of 5 stars. A big plus point is that there are also bonus offers for "small" deposits, so that even a €10 deposit can be enough for a higher balance. Of course you should always be careful with regular deposits, but NEO.Bet always has something to offer - even if it is only 25% on the deposit.

The German licence places very high demands on the licensee and NEO.bet has of course implemented these. For example, in the private menu at the top of the page, there is a "24h" panic button that you have to press for 3 seconds to get a break. Furthermore, NEO.bet has dedicated a separate category to player protection at the bottom of the footer.

NEO.bet calls it "responsibility" and you will find all the information about player protection, limits and self-exclusion. What I found very interesting was the self-test that was integrated into the page. Here there were ten questions about gambling behaviour, and perhaps it helps the one or other player to look at themselves in the mirror. The site is very easy to navigate and is kept in white to make the subject of gambling addiction easier to understand. I would say that NEO.bet is really taking this issue seriously and has not hidden away all these options just because the authorities want it that way.

NEO.bet's support is also very good and easy to reach. There is a live chat that answers within a few minutes, a contact form and the classic email. The chat button is always at the top of the page, and you do not have to wade through any FAQs or contact forms to reach the chat. I opened it for testing purposes to discuss a betting analysis with the friendly support staff. I noticed that there was a real person there who was not working from a template. I even got some immediate help.

I was very excited to see that there is even Apple Pay as a payment option. I still have an old iPhone 8 in the year 2023, but I actually use Apple Pay very regularly.
