The ADAC Truck Grand Prix is a racing event, trucker meeting, music festival, industrial fair and job expo all rolled into one huge spectacle. StarGames recently announced a premium partnership with the major event at the Nürburgring. A special attraction has been planned. What exactly does that mean?

It is no longer unusual for gaming companies to sponsor football clubs, hockey clubs or similar teams (and related sporting events). GambleJoe alone regularly reports on new partnerships, such as the recent sponsorship agreement between MSV Duisburg and Merkur Spielbanken NRW or sports-specific advertising campaigns, such as Tipico's current player protection campaign in the Sportschau programme. Not to forget: Time and time again, such measures are increasingly being criticised by politicians, authorities and even players. In March, for example, we asked ourselves whether a betting provider is a suitable sponsor for the European Football Championship?
However, companies in the gambling industry have long since left the mainstream as sponsors. This is once again demonstrated by the online casino StarGames and its parent company Novomatic. The organisers of the ADAC Truck Grand Prix announced a few weeks ago that the former brand will be the new sponsor of the 2024 edition of the major event.

It is a so-called premium partnership, which means that StarGames is one of the main supporters: this is stated in the relevant press release. This means that the digital arcade's logo appears in prominent places. There are also special game offers for visitors. However, the highlight is set to come in the person of darts pro Max Hopp. Truck Grand Prix visitors will even have the chance to compete against the winner of the PDC Pro Tour.

Both the ADAC Truck Grand Prix and StarGames as well as the visitors will benefit from the premium partnership

For the 2024 ADAC Truck Grand Prix, the new sponsorship agreement will of course result in a great deal of financial support. No precise details are given on the sums involved. However, in view of the size of the event and its reach, the cash flow is likely to be considerable.
It should be borne in mind that the event is attended by more than 100,000 people every year. The Truck Grand Prix is "motorsport, atmospheric music festival, largest annual industry trade fair in the commercial vehicle sector, trucker camp and job expo". In 2023, over 130,000 truck fans from Europe and around the world attended. The StarGames logo will be presented to these participants in 2024 at central locations on the site and on the race track as well as in the digital space: "As one of the main sponsors of the event, the StarGames logo will be prominently displayed throughout the event site, including the paddock and the main stage in the Mühlenbachschleife." This alone will enable the online casino to potentially reach an enormous number of (new) customers.

Added to this is media attention across the globe. Truck races may be more of a niche in Germany. In other countries, however, they are among the more important sporting events - for example in the Netherlands, Finland, France, Spain or Brazil. Many interested parties from these and other regions will follow the event at the Nürburgring and possibly become aware of StarGames and Novomatic.

And what's in it for the players - what exactly is the special highlight? First of all, visitors will have access to a "StarGames stand specially designed for the event in the paddock". Here they can probably expect to find games in particular - but there will certainly also be typical promotions such as competitions, giveaways, etc. Furthermore, the organisers have teased a ticket raffle in the run-up to the ADAC Truck Grand Prix 2024. It may therefore be worthwhile for fans to keep an eye on the bonus section of the platform.

However, Max Hopp's participation is clearly the "main attraction" on the agenda. The German darts pro has been sponsored by StarGames since the beginning of 2023. "Hesse, also known as "Maximiser" by his fans, is one of the most influential personalities in recent German darts history," said StarGames in a statement on the partnership. Hopp has a total of eight World Championship appearances, the Junior World Championship title in 2015 and victory at the German Open 2018 in Saarbrücken to his name. He is the "only German darts player ever to win a PDC tournament".

Visitors to the Truck Grand Prix 2024 will not only have the opportunity to meet the top dart player, but also to compete with him. According to the ADAC, "The best players of the day will qualify for the final on the big StarGames Festival stage on the main evening of 13 July." Several thousand spectators are expected to attend.

What those responsible at StarGames and the ADAC Truck Grand Prix have to say about the partnership

As expected, managers and organisers are very optimistic and generally positive about the new partnership.

László Pados, brand manager of StarGames, has the following to say:

"We at StarGames are all thrilled to announce this partnership. Together we will create a breathtaking racing event that will make the hearts of all motorsport fans beat faster. With our StarGames brand and our professional darts partner Max Hopp, we will create unforgettable moments for many motorsport enthusiasts. We look forward to embarking on this exciting journey together and getting to know the world of truck racing better."

The organiser of the 37th International ADAC Truck Grand Prix, Georg Fuchs, had similarly happy words:

"With StarGames, we have gained a strong partner for the ADAC Truck Grand Prix - and we are looking forward to a great collaboration! StarGames will undoubtedly contribute to making our event an unforgettable experience. The idea of integrating the up-and-coming sport of darts into our event has been on our minds for some time. The synergy between the trucker cult and darts is obvious and offers a fascinating opportunity to make our event even more diverse and appealing."

Conclusion

The Truck Grand Prix has been a real crowd-puller in the scene for decades. Combining this prerequisite with the increasingly popular sport of darts can pay off for StarGames and the organiser in this special sponsor combination of truck race and darts pro Max Hopp. Whether the offers planned for this year's edition of the race are attractive or not is ultimately up to each visitor to decide for themselves.
