Short info: As of today, registered users can choose one of 110 different avatar images from https://www.gamblejoe.com/settings/ with which they are then represented on the entire site. In addition, each user now has its own profile page which is linked via the profile picture and the name. If you click on my name, then you come to my profile page. I hope you like the changes. The community functions such as profile page and profile settings will be constantly expanded and improved in the future.

Unfortunately you can't upload your own avatars at the moment. This has copyright reasons. We have to see how we can make this legally secure without putting ourselves or you in danger.

We'll have to see how we make this happen. The problem with that is if you upload a Batman image now the us, the users or both Risk a warning letter from Marvel Comics. I would have to delete the image or avatar as soon as I learn of any copyright infringement. And in a manageable forum like this one where I reply almost daily and get to see the profile pictures, I can't deny that I didn't know about any infringement.

With Batman images, it's clear that I would have to delete them. But users can also create avatars of which I do not know that they are copyrighted. I can not know everything.

Then there is the question how we should deal with it, if a user uploads a copyrighted image as an avatar? If I delete it without comment, then there is trouble and pointless discussions with the affected user. Difficult situation ...

I find it aufjedenfall already times super that at least times default avatar images are available. To "peronalize" it a bit more you could possibly take out the backgrounds in the avatars and Deposit the container in which the avatar is with a user color class. This could then enter the user and there would be again thousands of other possibilities

Thanks and thanks for the tips, but why do you make yourself so old in your avatar?
