NBA: Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat
NBA Tips: Bulls vs. Heat
I have a good NBA tip for you for tomorrow night and the clash between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat has a long history. The Bulls' glory days of Jordan, Pippen and Co. are over and the current team is one of the weaker ones in the NBA. Miami, on the other hand, is off to a very good start and I think they have the edge here and I will tell you why. Chicago have been playing some really uninspiring basketball this year, while Miami have been going back to their old ways, and so the recipe for success is relatively straightforward.
Chicago Bulls - the grey mouse of the NBA
Before the arrival of Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls were in the middle of nowhere in the NBA, and they were also very unpopular in the city. Derrick Rose's time in the last decade was really great and I became a fan of the NBA there, but since then it has been really meagre. One of the reasons why I am betting against the Bulls today is the so-called Back2Back situation. The NBA schedule has 82 games and sometimes teams have to play two nights in a row. This is the case for the Bulls, who played and lost to Orlando last night. They were only 33 points behind at the half, something I have not seen in the NBA for a long time. A back2back situation like that takes a lot out of you, but I wouldn't overestimate it at this early stage of the season. The Bulls have a record of 4 wins and 9 losses, while the Heat have 8 wins and have won seven (!) games in a row.
My NBA prediction for Bulls vs. Heat
The Bulls are also facing internal turmoil, with Zach LaVine set to leave the club. He is the team's best player alongside DeRozan and often carries the team in terms of scoring. The team simply lacks quality and Miami bring a top 5 defence to the United Center. Miami made it to the Eastern Conference Finals last year and are playing very good basketball again this year. As mentioned above, the Heat have won seven games in a row and the wheels are currently falling into place, while Spoelstra is, in my opinion, the best coach in the NBA. To sum up, the Bulls are playing bad basketball, are in the middle of a back2back night and have internal squabbles. A no-brainer for me.
