On 06.10.2024 Deportivo Alaves will face FC Barcelona. The match will kick off at 16:15 and will take place at the Estadio Mentizorrotza (Vitoria-Gasteiz).

Barcelona suffered a heavy defeat on the last matchday. They were already 2-0 down at CA Osasuna at the break. Although they scored the first goal shortly after the second half kicked off, they conceded 2 more goals as the game progressed. In the end, Barcelona only managed to score to make it 2:4 from their point of view and thus not only had to accept their first loss of points but also their first defeat. They now face Deportivo Alaves. Alaves can generally be classified in the same category as Osasuna. Last season also shows that. In the end, the two teams were neighbors in the table, in midfield. Personally, I chalk this game against Osasuna up to a slip-up that can happen during the season. I also can't imagine Barcelona dropping points twice in a row against a team from the actual midfield.
