A few weeks ago, Canadian streamer xQc leaked internal documents from the Kick platform. Among other things, the data is said to show how many percent of the users of the new streaming platform Kick also use the Stake Casino. The exact meaning of the leaked documents is now the subject of heated debate on the internet.

It was only a few months ago that we reported on GambleJoe about suspicions that Kick.com might be fudging its viewership figures. Kick is a live video streaming service that only launched in December 2022 and last recorded an average of 110,000 livestreams per day in June this year. This makes Kick.com a serious competitor to former market leader Twitch.

More and more famous streamers are switching to Kick

Shortly after the launch of Kick.com, many successful streamers left Twitch to join the competition. Well-known casino streamers such as xQc, Scurrows and OrangeMorange are now active on Kick.com. The conditions on Twitch have become increasingly unattractive recently, especially for gambling streamers. In January of this year, we wondered if we were seeing the end of an era for casino streamers on Twitch.

However, there are some streamers who have avoided Kick so far. One of them is the popular German entertainer MontanaBlack. He criticised the fact that the people behind the crypto-casino Stake are also among Kick's backers.

Streamer xQc leaks interesting documents

The 27-year-old streamer xQc has been in the news in the past for his escalating casino sessions. In the summer of 2022, for example, xQc wagered around 685 million US dollars on Stake. In one of his recent livestreams, the Canadian leaked an interesting document showing the "shared audience" between Stake and Kick.

According to these figures, around 2.7 percent of Kick's users play at Stake's online casino.

There is now a lot of discussion on the net about whether this figure is high or not. It is also unclear whether this percentage refers exclusively to players who actually spend real money in the Stake casino or whether it also includes silent observers who do not bring Stake any revenue.

Incidentally, Kick.com does not officially advertise the Stake crypto-casino. What is striking, however, is the large number of streamers who play at Stake. In fact, as recently as May, there was an article about how widespread "counterfeit money streaming" is among casino streamers.

If the leaked figures are correct, then out of 100,000 users consuming casino streams on Kick.com, just under 3,000 players are also playing for real money at Stake Casino. This is probably good business for the crypto casino.

What makes Kick special?

Kick claims to share the revenue generated more in favour of the streamers than, for example, Twitch. On Kick.com, streamers currently receive 95% of the revenue. This leaves only 5% for the platform operators.

Furthermore, unlike some of its competitors, Kick accepts streams from casinos such as Stake.com, which are not licensed in most countries. We answered the question of why so many casino streamers play at Stake in an article published in September 2021.
