A few weeks ago the software developer Gamomat initiated a campaign to fight climate change. With the motto “Gaming for the Climate“ the renowned provider wants to offer financial support to the non-profit organisation Healthy Seas. The famous software provider Gamomat wants to involve itself in the fight against climate change and for this purpose a few weeks ago it released the slot machine The Book of Oasis. The initiative is called “Gaming for the Climate“ and the idea is to have a small share of the profits channelled into non-profit climate projects of the organisation Healthy Seas. Which climate protection measures does Gamomat plan to support?

The official press release of Gamomat states that they will give a share of the profits of the slot machine to the non-profit organisation Healthy Seas. The exact percentage has still not been divulged. With the profits they want to help the organisation to remove plastic from the sea and carry out community projects with fishermen among other things. Besides this, they want to provide educational programmes to help fight climate change worldwide.

Healthy Seas have made it their mission to collect ghost nets and other waste from the sea, among other things. In order to do this, professional divers get to the bottom of the sea in the European Seas. Since 2013, the climate saver has fished out a total of more than 510 tonnes of waste from the water. They have also freed several entangled fish.

The CEO of Gamomat, Dietmar Hermjohannes, stated the following about the new climate initiative of its company:

“The climate crisis is today the largest threat for our future and everything possible must be done to change this. We at Gamomat do not only think about the future of Gaming. We also think about the future of our environment and that was always important for me.“

How does The Book of Oasis Slot function?
