NFL: New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills
NFL Tips: New York Jets - Buffalo Bills
The conclusion of the first NFL week is traditionally the game on Monday night (the so-called Monday Night Football) and after my successful weekend with the right Ravens - Texans tip and the clear over in the Chargers - Dolphins tip I want to give you my thoughts on the upcoming night. On paper it's a real top game with a lot of stars on the turf, if you're still awake and don't have to work the next day you should watch this one. Quarterbacks Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers are among the best the NFL has to offer.
New York Jets with strong offseason
You have to know that the Jets have often been the laughing stock in the NFL and can be compared to HSV and Schalke in football. They are huge, belong further up the sporting ladder and are running behind expectations. Moreover, they had often made the wrong decisions in the NFL draft or simply had bad luck there. Now they drafted Aaron Rodgers, who will enter the Hall of Fame as one of the best quarterbacks of all time after his career ends. He's already a four-time NFL MVP and as a quarterback, even the first grey hairs don't make that much of a difference. In addition, the Jets are now really strong on defence and certainly belong in the top 5.
Buffalo Bills - is it finally enough for the Super Bowl?
To get back to the football metaphor, you could compare Buffalo to Borussia Dortmund. The pre-season hype is always great; last year, for example, they were favourites in the NFL odds to win the Super Bowl. In the important moments, however, the nerves fail and so the Bills have not made it to the final for ages. With Josh Allen at quarterback, they are currently in the so-called title window and the salary cap is being exhausted accordingly, now sporting success must also come and the only thing that counts is participation in the biggest single sporting event in the world.
My NFL prediction for the Jets vs. Bills game
I honestly can't settle on a winner here, it's too 50/50 for me. Both teams are very strong on both sides of the ball. Instead, I recommend the overall under bet, which is a very good pick for me here and I'm very confident in. This is mainly for the following reasons:
The weather: there is a good chance that it will rain for the kick off in New Jersey, tonight the New York Giants already played against Dallas in the same stadium - in the rain. When it rains balls become harder to throw and catch and you rely more on the running game. You have to know that in the running game the game clock keeps running and the consequence is logical: the less time the less points.
Rust: Only two games went over this week, including my Los Angeles Chargers vs Miami Dolphins tip. Quarterbacks are still a bit rusty after only practicing before and the plays are all not quite right yet.
Defensive: Two very good defenses meet here, especially with the Jets I'm curious how the team will present itself. They have one of the best cornerbacks in Sauce Gardner and one of the best defensive tackles in Quinnen Williams.
Bet: Under 46,5
The best odds are with Betway: 1,76
