WNCAA: Iowa - South Carolina
A bit short notice, but I've got another really good bet for you. Tonight is the women's college basketball final and rarely has there been so much hype about women's basketball. That's the only reason I'm analyzing it, because to be honest, it's passed me by in recent years. It's also because Caitlin Clark, probably the best female college player of all time, is in the finals this year and will also make her mark on the WNBA in the coming season. On the other side is South Carolina, the best team of all time. Superlatives galore here. South Carolina has not lost in 37 games! I recommend the total under here, because with a big stage comes nervousness. Quick trip to the stats: Since 1998, the women's final has remained: Under 153.5 points (21/24 = 88%) Under 160.5 points (22/24 = 92 %) Under 163.5 points (23/24 = 96 %) Connectictut proved how to shut down Caitlin Clark relatively well in the previous round, and South Carolina will look to follow suit. Iowa has been "under" four times in five games during the tournament, South Carolina even 5/5. I expect a slow game here with many mistakes and simply nervousness. 160 points is a lot in women's basketball and the statistics speak volumes.
