StarGames receives German licence for online slots

StarGames was for several years a popular address for German gambling fans. Then surprisingly the provider left the German online gambling market and for a long time it was only offering gambling with play money. A few days ago, the provider received its German licence for online slots from the Gambling Authority and it can now operate legally.

As the Novomatic-subsidiary company Greentube announced in a recent press statement, the brand StarGames has received a German licence for virtual slot games. In July 2021 we had reported that Greentube has returned to the German gambling market and has applied for a German licence.

StarGames is now one of the legal online casinos

According to a Greentube’s recent press statement on the 9^th.February, StarGames.de has now acquired a German licence for online slots. This means that players who are resident in Germany can now also play with real money and 100 legal on StarGames’ popular slot machines such as Book of Ra™, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe™ or Sizzling Hot™.

Unfortunately, the GGL, the Gambling Authority responsible for all the regions in Germany has till now still not published the updated Whitelist which should include Star Games. The Whitelist is a list of authorised gambling providers, and it was last updated on the 31st. January 2023.

Greentube is proud to be returning to Germany

In the past, StarGames was popular in the online gambling industry as being the first provider where players could play online games such as Book of Ra™. The management of the company is very proud to be returning to the German market. Georg Gubo, COO of Greentube stated the following:

StarGames meets the requirements from the very first day

From the very first day, the platform StarGames.de has met the legal requirements of the State Gambling Act which came into force on the 1^st. July 2021. This means that the player protection measures such as the 5-seconds-rule or the maximum stake of one Euro per spin are being implemented.

On StarGames.de it is stated that “Greentube Malta Ltd. has applied for a German licence for virtual slot machines on 1st.July 2021”. If this is correct, then the approval process took more than one and a half years. Greentube has been operating in Poland since 2021. In March 2021 we had reported that Greentube will be restarting its online operations in Poland. 

How attractive is the new StarGames casino?

Currently StarGames is offering every new customer a starter package of up to 100 free games as well as a bonus of up to 100Euro. However, StarGames is especially attractive since it offers the famous Novoline classics. Conclusion

Greentube is finally back on the German online market. A few days ago the company acquired the sought-after German licence for virtual slot machines for its platform StarGames.de. Now the service provided by StarGames.de is 100% legal and safe for players from Germany. We are excited to see, whether StarGames will build on its past successes in Germany!
