The Durango Casino & Resort in Nevada is due to open on 20 November this year. However, officials are currently busy filling more than 1,200 vacancies at the property. As well as hotel, bar and casino staff, they are also looking to fill positions in marketing, human resources, IT and administration.

Just a few days ago, we at GambleJoe reported that a double digit million dollar slot jackpot had been hit in Las Vegas. Such high jackpots could also be up for grabs at the Durango Casino & Resort in a few months time. The casino and resort, which is currently under construction, is scheduled to open on 20 November 2023. The complex is located on Durango Drive, a major north-south thoroughfare in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Durango Casino & Resort seeks approximately 1,200 employees

The American hotel and gaming company Station Casinos is responsible for the project, which will cost several hundred million US dollars. The company is currently recruiting qualified staff for the new Durango Casino & Resort on its internal careers website and social networks. In total, Station Casinos plans to hire approximately 1,200 employees by the time the property opens.

Positions currently available include marketing, finance, human resources, administration, security and IT. Staff are also being recruited to work in the bars, pools, restaurants and casino areas. For example, Durango Casino & Resort is looking for a Casino Host and a Director of Player Development.

The jobs are posted in English and Spanish. Unfortunately, Station Casinos does not publish details of potential earnings in its job advertisements. Over a year ago, we wrote an article about the "psycho tricks" used by Las Vegas casinos.

Durango Casino & Resort is scheduled to open on 20 November 2023. Station Casinos has been planning a casino resort at the site since 2004, but over the years there have been delays that have pushed back the design and construction phases. The casino floor at Durango Casino will be just under 8,000 square metres. There will also be more than 200 hotel rooms. The original plan was for around 1,000 hotel rooms. Station Casinos is estimating the total cost at 780 million US dollars, or about 717 million euros.

Conclusion

The Durango Casino & Resort, a new casino complex in Las Vegas, is scheduled to open in November this year. Interested readers can follow the progress of the Durango Casino & Resort here. At 150 metres wide and 90 metres high, it is currently the tallest spherical structure in the world.
