Football betting tips: Frankfurt vs. Heidenheim

The last game of the Bundesliga season is between Frankfurt and Heidenheim, before the international break. Frankfurt have been one of the disappointments of the young season for me, so I am backing Heidenheim to double their chances. Of course, there are other reasons for this, which I will explain in the course of the betting tips. Eintracht play really boring football and create few chances, the loss of Lindstrom, Kamada and Kolo Muani weighs heavily. Heidenheim are doing very well for themselves as newcomers, and this is where my X2 idea comes from.

Frankfurt had a tough trip to Saloniki

Eintracht played away in Greece on Thursday and lost 2-1 in a very intense match. The stress of the game and the travelling is a big factor for me and I think it is not easy to switch the switch on and off. In the Bundesliga, there was an uninspiring 0-0 draw against Freiburg and a 2-0 defeat at Wolfsburg. On top of that, they will be without the services of Gotze, who has been their only constant in attack. The new-look attack of Chaibi, Ngankam, Marmoush and Co has yet to click, with just four goals scored in six Bundesliga games.

Heidenheim the better relegation candidate

I think I have already written in other sports betting tips that Heidenheim are having a really good season and that they are not hiding away. Best was probably the best player in the 2. Bundesliga last year and has continued his strong form in the Oberhaus. Former Bremen striker Dinkci is looking like a new man and has been impressing with his pace and finishing. The defence is solid and has been playing like this for years. They have taken seven points from their last four games, including wins over Union Berlin and Werder Bremen.

My prediction for Eintracht Frankfurt vs. 1 FC Heidenheim

Basically, I think that Heidenheim can at least keep up with Frankfurt. Frankfurt have had a tough week, are missing a few players and are generally out of form. A final score of 1-1 is very realistic for me and I would like to take the good odds of 1.90 here. Heidenheim have already survived away to Dortmund and they are currently a size bigger than Frankfurt. The defence should be relatively solid and the above-mentioned players can make their mark up front.
