The regular season is drawing to a close in the NBA and there are not many things left to consider in terms of sport. One exception is this game, which already has playoff character. Background: Both teams are fighting for a place in the NBA playoffs in the West and for around three years now there has been the so-called play-in tournament, which is contested by the teams in 7th-10th place. This is "do-or-die" and teams therefore try to secure 6th place and the direct participation associated with it. Phoenix and New Orleans are aiming to do just that and are direct competitors for this place. Both teams are only separated by one win and a win in a direct duel is doubly important in a way. In sporting terms, there is no alternative to the Suns, who are currently the better team. They have won seven of their last nine games, while the Pelicans have only managed three wins in the same period. Both teams also played just a few days ago, where the Suns won by 13 (!) points away from home, and it should be even clearer at home. New Orleans are missing Ingram, one of their best players, while the Suns have Durant, Booker and Beal, who are absolutely world class. Form, direct comparison, individual quality speak a clear language here and I even expect a double-digit victory.
