Since you haven't heard from me in a while, I decided to test out the next online casino with a German licence between the years. The Slotmagie online casino already has the famous Merkur sun in its logo. So I was particularly looking forward to the Merkur slot games.

Personal experience

Slotmagie opened its doors just in time for the new German licence. Behind the fanciful name is a Maltese company that is by no means the biggest fish in the virtual pond. Fancy Fruits comes from Bally Wulff / Gamomat and is a fruit themed machine. Fruits and slot machines have a long tradition. The first one-armed bandits were equipped with fruit images. Book of Dead

After another cigarette break, I decided to try my luck on the Play'n GO Book of Dead machine. At the top left of the site you will find the logo and the laughing Merkur sun. Of course, you can change the sliders manually, either by using the arrows (left and right) or the lines below the sliders. In terms of colour, Slotmagie is completely dark, which I feel is less in keeping with the company's promising name. Unfortunately, it is not possible to switch between night and day mode.

Book of Dead, Eye of Horus and Co. are all playable in pocket format and even via their own app. There is no need to download the app from the Play Store, as it is based on an HTML5 version. This means that the virtual games library can be used in the mobile browser. The provider could hardly offer its users a more player-friendly solution. Thumbs up for that!

I tested the mobile version on my iPhone 11 and was impressed. Fast loading times and a perfectly adapted machine are convincing. Changes due to German licence

In the course of this article I have already talked several times about the new German licence. But what exactly is changing? What does it mean for all of us? I have summarised the answers to these and other questions for you. The following points of the German licence will affect players and operators the most:

In terms of school grades, I would place Slotmagie roughly where I found myself in almost all 13 years of school, in the safe middle ground. On the plus side, they have all the major game makers and payment methods. On the negative side are the rather unattractive bonus and the boring and not yet fully developed design. I have deliberately not included the rules of the new German licence in my rating, as I am sure those responsible would rather change them today than tomorrow.

In conclusion, you will find a reputable and certified provider where you can try your luck with a clear conscience at any time. Unfortunately, you can't expect too much due to the rather weak RTP.
