I'm guessing jacket potatoes with cottage cheese and bologna for lunch and a bbq with all the trimmings tonight. 😂
We're also having a barbecue here again in this glorious weather.
You're right about the barbecue tonight, but today we had stuffed loin with boiled potatoes and fresh bean salad for lunch.
Saphira, you have a small garden too, have you noticed that everything is growing like crazy this year, no matter what I plant, only my watermelons don't really want to grow but the fruit trees are full and the nut trees too this year.
I have already harvested about 75 kg of onions and I planted garlic in October last year.

I've noticed a few things this year. Extremely few slugs or pests at all. At most a few aphids on the jasmine, but you could wash them off with water. The garden almost exploded in May, so much has flowered magnificently and since then everything has been growing like crazy. The strawberry plants never stop producing. I have a bowl full every day (small garden) and it's never been like this before. Now raspberries are joining them, more every day. What's more, I hardly have to fertilize anything at all, it just happens by itself. My friend planted potatoes for the first time, more for fun, and said yesterday that it had become a real jungle, huge plants. So yes, it's true. Everything is growing like crazy. If my two big fir trees in the garden carry on like this, I'll soon be sitting in the dark.
I'm sure it's due to climate change, which means we have a lot more CO2 in our gardens. 😂
Congratulations on the harvest, 75 kilograms is of course a great yield. Unfortunately, garlic never works for me. I always put it in the ground next to the strawberries and it does absolutely nothing. I'm also unlucky with onions and carrots, which is why I didn't bother.
Two years ago I had an experiment with a mini watermelon. Planted in a raised bed and then the thing burst at the seams, growing further and further out over the bed and through the garden path. I thought it was a good sign because there were lots of flowers on it, but in the end only one fruit formed that year, which ripened into an admittedly delicious mini melon and was eaten with vanilla ice cream after harvesting. Nothing came of the other flowers. But good luck with your melons. Maybe they'll still give it a go. 😃
Oh, and got a little smarter again. Sahara dust is actually a natural fertilizer for plants of all kinds. But I hadn't read anything about it and I didn't see any deposits outside. Would be the best explanation for this turbo growth now though. Anyway, thanks for the info.
I'm currently eating instant noodles almost every evening. We have parsley in the garden, which also grows incredibly quickly. You cut some parsley from the bush and a few days later the bush looks as if you hadn't cut it at all. And I always add a good amount of fresh parsley to the bowl of instant noodles + boiling water. There are plenty of varieties of instant noodles.

And that tastes really good? I only have instant noodles for emergencies. But with fresh parsley from the garden, I could imagine that it would be very light and tasty. I'll give it a try.
