Dozen

In Roulette, a basic distinction is made between single and multiple chances. The most popular type of Bet in roulette is betting on simple chances. This means, for example, betting on even/odd, red/black or low (1-18) or high (19-36). If a Player is right here, he receives a 1:1 win, i.e. doubles his bet.

On the other hand, there are also multiple chances that result in higher wins. This includes, for example, betting on one of three dozen. The win ratio here is already 2:1, so that a bet of 50 euros, for example, would result in a win of 100 euros. In roulette, the first, middle and last dozen are distinguished as follows:

  • First dozen (numbers from 1-12)
  • Middle dozen (numbers from 13-24)
  • Last dozen (numbers from 25-36)

Since a bet on a single dozen results in a win on twelve numbers, the chance of winning in "normal" roulette is 32.4%. In American Roulette, the probability of winning is slightly lower due to the double zero.
